Went to the game last night. Volquez did a nice job. I still wish he could go more than 6 though, but I can't complain about what he does when he's out there. He fooled Chipper badly his first time up and got him to ground into a DP in a sticky situation in his second AB.

Jay Bruce was great at the plate. He made a circus catch in CF that he misplaid very badly, but he will only need to be there until Griffey departs.

It is really a different atmosphere in the stadium now with the Reds' youth movement. I really hope this is the start of a bright future for a Cincy pro sports team.
