Not to dish out the excuses for last years end of season debacle, but how is it NO ONE ever brings up the fact LSU played 1 more game than BAMA last year and BAMA had (what?) an extra uninterupted 20 days to prepare for LSU. (LSU only had from the end of SEC Champ game til the NC game to prep for BAMA)
Yes it was a bad year. I would the same about tOSU if that happened to them. Conference champ is nice but we both know that NC is what matters to big programs.Dude, you are a complete fool. You're actually saying LSU had a bad year....wow....what a marroon.
Personal feelings aside, the system determined who played in the game and that was the system that all schools agreed to play within the guideline of. If that meant that LSU had to face Bama, then so be it. Just like USC not making the big game in 2003, that is the way that the system determined it. If you don't like the system, work to change it.Sardog, how you doing? Gotta disagree with what you are throwing down. After the debacles of 2001 and 2003, the BcS changed their formula. Remember 2006 and 2007? The non-conference champ factor seemed to be in full effect. No OSU/Michigan rematch and then LSU over Kansas and UGA as examples. Besides, the system changed immediately following the joke that just happened. NOBODY agreed to that farce. Well Bama did!
Also, I don't think that the extra 20 days are what made the difference in this game. LSU didn't look like they had any interest in being there. Whether they thought that they shouldn't have to face Bama again or they thought that since they beat them once that season, they could cruise and do it again or even if they were waiting for that defensive spark that they had gotten to "kick-start" them the previous two games, they looked like they were stumbling through a dream, or a nightmare. There seemed to be no motivation and no leaders in that game. On offense, that was no surprise since their biggest leader of the season was pacing the sidelines, waiting to see if he would get a chance and not getting it. The one guy who could have best done something to help get the offense motivated sat back and waited for everyone else around him to step up. At least I look for that part of the failed equation to be different this year.Great points. 20 days didn't hurt. Chillin and watching LSU play a 13th game didn't hurt. BUT, this was ALL on Miles in my opinion. We all knew Jefferson sucked, so why should we be surprised he sucked in the NC? I truly think the players followed their coach's lead of apathy and discontent with Bama getting a do over. But that's no excuse, they should have gone out there and played their asses off. Made the BcS still look like a joke. The end result from this farce was a playoff win or lose.

Well Bama did!Doing pretty good after an ACL surgery a couple of weeks ago but don't really recommend it to anyone unless it is necessary! Really though, it isn't as bad as some of the stories that I had heard but I also had one of the best to fix it. Anyway, I wasn't saying that the system wasn't flawed as is obviously was. Even though things changed, it still remained flawed and it showed with the lack of consistency between the 2006 year when UM wasn't chosen and last year when Bama was although both circumstances were quite similar. All I meant was that all of the schools agreed to participate within the system that the BCS ran under, which gave us all of the scenarios although as you very correctly point out, it tends to show its flaws and inconsistencies.

I also question the gameplan to not let someone else have a shot to give a spark to the team when JJ showed that he truly couldn't show any leadership to the team. Two theories why Lee was completely screwed over:
Anyone wonder why Les didnt give Zach some time cleaning up the "AZZ WHUPINS" last season, not to mention the NCG, when Ware would have been better than sending JJ back on the field.I continuously wondered almost every single game why Mett wasn't out there getting real game experience. Again though, this is the same Miles who benched Lee for good after he led the Tigers to an 8-0 record and Lee was the 12th most efficient QB in CFB.
He knew Zach was gonna be his QB in 2012, why not try to get him a little game experience.
Guess the TD pass against Neast was enough.
Amazing to hear some smack from a little Duckie after the beatdown LSU put on Oregon. Please, enlighten us the 2 losses LSU will suffer this year?LSU could easily lose 2 games with the schedule they're playing this year, (Not saying it'll happen) but games @Auburn, @Florida, @Texas A&M, Alabama, @Arkansas, and the SECCG are games LSU could "lose", and for the record I think LSU wins the National Title this year, but I do think there is a chance that they could slip up more then once.

Duckie said LSU will lose 2 so I wanted to see who the teams were and what his reasons were. I'd like to see if this guy has any football sense or just talking ridiculous smack. As for me, I think it wold be tough to go undefeated again this year, but I do think LSU can do it.
